Ive made some great friends and really enjoy the app. i have been using it since the spring/summer 2012 (when it was called twogrand). We really are a group that love and supports one another in our goals for all walks of life. Really you should check it out
Its the equivalent of working out at a gym and having people cheer you along. Much better than strictly calorie counting. It has been encouraging variety and holding me accountable for the quality of the food I put into my body.
Great way to be motivated and inspired to log what i am eating and make better choices. alot easier and faster than traditional food logs. Plus, love the community connection.
Instead if annoying people on Instagram with food pics have them all here. Makes for great menu planning. I love how you can search for different ways of eating and see what others are eating.
I was bored of manually writing my food journal on paper. I wanted a method of food journaling with visual, communal, motivating, and fun aspects. YouFood was the answer! This app is so helpful...not only is it like an Instagram food journal by posting your meals, but you can see the organized days and even record your mood etc. The YouFood community is so kind & inspiring. You dont feel alone achieving your health goal!
Amazing app! I actually am so much more aware of what Im eating. Bc of the app I have eaten more clean, whole foods bc I dont want to take a picture of junk food lol!

Some bad moments

Fonts are too big/dont fit in text fields, are cut off so unreadable. Buttons disappear at random, cant get out of any page. Unusable. App deleted.
New version no longer allows you to track water consumption levels or create/track personalized goals. This is a huge loss of functionality for me.
Such an awesome community that motivates and keeps you motivated on your way to improving your diet and lifestyle. Also, I love the photo food journal! So easy to log!
If youre a veteran of food tracking, you may have become rebellious and quit after a while, having given up on trying to accurately guess the calories in homemade meals or restaurant plans. YouFood is a better way to track with visual records of your daily food and beverage intake. For some, seeing a visual record is a better way to understand ones own eating habits. Ive used the app daily since July after several starts and stops over the last several years with calorie trackers. The community is active and supportive; saving recipes is easy and inspirational to people at all cooking levels; and the weekly emails are fun and informative. This app has made tracking my healthy eating less of a burden while also inspiring responsibility.
Compared to MFP, this app brings out less restrict and binge cycles, reminds me of the good things I have in life (like good food tea and coffee) in a visual way, and lets me literally see other peoples eating habits. Great for behavior modeling, paying attention to the food and not just the calories. Puts me in a better mental state overall.
I am doing THM and I appreciate the accountability this app gives me. It is like a journal of what I eat. Lost four pounds my first week. I would have given it Five Stars except it does not always work well. Sometimes you cant change a post the way you need to when you make a mistake. If those mistakes could be fixed it would be perfect. Thanks!
